We are a local history society and promote local history in the five parishes: Geistingen, Kessenich, Kinrooi, Molenbeersel and Ophoven. Also in connection with the neighbouring (Dutch) church villages.
We now have a documentation centre, secretariat and community room.
What is local history?
Heritage is the knowledge of family, house, hamlet in our region, village or county.
Local history studies everything that lives and happens there in function of the local community, past and present, with a view to the future. An inexhaustible source!
